We are passionate about Whippets

Since 1983 when Toffee, Silver Lady Of Huntinghill, came to join our family, which included our working English Springer Spaniels & Border Collies, we have had a Whippet or three in our household.

Whippets then became our passion for pets and showing, living alongside the spaniels until recent years.

We breed very rarely, and only when we want a youngster for ourselves, and over the years we have been extremely lucky to have bred, owned or bought in some lovely specimens of the breed.

In the show ring we have achieved some lovely successes with our Whippets  including Champions, ticket winners, reserve ticket winners, Junior Warrant winners, Best Veterans and studbook number winners at Championship Shows. At the Open Shows attended we have won Best In Show, Reserve Best In Show, Best Veteran in Show and Best Puppy in Shows.

But it's not all about showing as our Whippets are our pets first and our show dogs second. Temperament is very important to us as is Whippet type and fit for function. We have been extremely lucky over the years to own dogs with superb temperaments and type who are a joy to live with. From a very young age Rachel competed in Junior Handling with much success, hence Toffee was bought for her in 1983 and our love of Whippets began.

Both Rachel and I are honoured to be Championship Show Judges for Whippets, I also award CC's in Irish Wolfhounds.  The year 2023 will see us celebrating 40 years of owning this lovely breed although we had been associated with them prior to this.
